Controlled Drinking Programme

Our alcohol treatment programme aims to support people who are concerned about their levels of alcohol intake and would like to receive support to manage their drinking. After initial medical and psychosocial assessment, patients will be offered a bespoke programme to manage their alcohol drinking. This outpatient programme is designed for patients who are unable to commit to an alcohol rehab. It's a 20-hour programme delivered by a team of highly specialised clinicians.

The Controlled Drinking Programme can be delivered in person and online, providing the opportunity to access treatment while still living in the community and engaging in day-to-day life.

The programme offers medical and psychosocial support, including individual sessions focused on exploring the underlying issues linked to alcohol use, sessions with significant others focused on strengthening their support network, and psychoeducational workshops for a better understanding of Alcohol Use Disorders and to develop effective coping skills. After the initial medical assessment and if required, patients can be prescribed relapse prevention medication to help manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms.
